Australia vs England 4th Match ICC CT 2025 Highlights

In the match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Australia achieved the target of 352 runs set by England for the loss of 5 wickets in the last over and achieved its first victory in the tournament.

Phil Salt returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs thanks to an incredible catch by Alex Carey, Jamie Smith could score 15 runs, Harvey Brook was caught by Zampa after scoring 3 runs, captain Jos Buttler was dismissed for 23, Liam Livingston was dismissed for 14 runs.

Ben Droshwys took three wickets for Australia, Adam Zampa and Marnus Labuschagne took two wickets each.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and decided to field against England.

At the toss, Australian captain Steve Smith said that it was raining here at night during our practice, so we decided to bat first.

England captain Jos Buttler said that if we had won the toss, we would have preferred to bat, the players are confident, we are excited for this match.

England has a heavy advantage in the Champions Trophy, the English team has won 3 out of five matches and 2 to Australia, while both teams will play against each other in Pakistan for the first time.

It should be noted that Pakistan had to face a defeat by a margin of 60 runs against New Zealand in the opening match of the Champions Trophy 2025 due to weak death bowling and the failure of the star batsman.
