Pakistan cricket team set a new world record by defeating New Zealand by 9 wickets in the third T20 International.
The match between Pakistan and New Zealand was played on Friday in Auckland, New Zealand, where the Green Shirts easily defeated the host team by 9 wickets.
After the Green Shirts’ victory today, Pakistan has become the first team to achieve a target of more than 200 runs in the minimum overs in the T20 format.
In the third T20 International, New Zealand, batting first, had given Pakistan a target of 205 runs to win, which the Green Shirts achieved in 16 overs, setting a new record.
In the third match, Pakistani batsmen did not allow the Kiwi bowlers to run a single run, national team batsman Hassan Nawaz scored 105 runs off 44 balls while Salman Ali Agha scored 51 runs off 31 balls.
Hassan Nawaz also holds the record for the fastest century for Pakistan, a record previously held by Babar Azam, who scored a century off 49 balls against South Africa at their home ground in 2021.
Hassan Nawaz said that despite being out for duck in the first two matches, the team management was very supportive and there was no pressure on me while batting.
