A partnership of 98 runs was established between Axar Patel and Shreyas Iyer for the fourth wicket. Axar Patel was dismissed for 42 runs while Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket for 79 runs. KL Rahul 23, Hardik Pandya 45, Ravindra Jadeja 16, Mohammed Shami 5 and Kuldeep Yadav were dismissed for one run. Matt Henry took 5 wickets for New Zealand. Chasing a target of 250 runs, New Zealand’s Ravindra 6, Will Young 22, Mitchell Starc 17, Tom Latham 14, Glenn Phillips 12, Mitchell Bracewell 2, Kane Williamson 81 were dismissed. India’s Varun Chakraborty was declared the man of the match after taking five wickets.
