New Zealand vs South Africa 2nd ODI Highlights 10-02-2025

In the second match of the tri-series, New Zealand won the toss and decided to field against South Africa.

In the match being played in Lahore, South Africa’s first wicket fell for 37 runs, captain Temba Bavuma returned to the pavilion after scoring 20 runs.

Before the match, the South African cricket team participated in a practice session at the Gaddafi Stadium yesterday to prepare for the match, while after defeating Pakistan, most of the New Zealand players preferred to rest, while some players participated in an optional training session.

The South African team participated in a three-hour intensive practice session at the Gaddafi Stadium. After the warm-up session, the batters practiced against net spin bowlers.

South African captain Temba Bavuma took pictures with the trophy. At the press conference, he said that it is a good opportunity to play in Pakistan, young players are getting a chance to show themselves here.

It should be noted that New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 78 runs in the first match of the tri-nation series.

In the first match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan was bundled out for 252 runs in 47.5 overs in pursuit of 331 runs by New Zealand. Even Fakhar Zaman’s 84 runs could not save the team from defeat.

Salman Ali Agha scored 40, Tayyab Tahir scored 30 runs, Khushdil 15, Kamran Ghulam was dismissed for 18 runs, Babar Azam 10 and captain Muhammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion after scoring 3 runs.

For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry took three wickets each, Michael Bracewell took two and Glenn Phillips took one wicket.

Earlier, New Zealand, batting first, scored 330 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated overs and gave Pakistan a target of 331 runs to win.
