Colombo, February 13 : The second and final match of the two-match One-Day International series between Sri Lanka and Australia will be played tomorrow (Friday) at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The host Islanders have a 0-1 lead over the visiting Australian team in the two-match series. The Sri Lankan team had defeated the Australian team by 49 runs in the first ODI.
Earlier, the visiting Australian team had swept the host Islanders in the two-Test series. The Kangaroos had defeated them by an innings and 242 runs in the first Test match and by 9 wickets in the second Test match. The Australian men’s team is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka where they will play a two-Test and two-ODI series against the host team.
The two-match Test series has been completed, which Australia defeated Sri Lanka 0-2, while one match of the ODI series has been played, which the Sri Lankan team won. In the ODI series, the Australian team will be led by the legendary batsman Steven Smith, while the host Islanders team will take the field under the leadership of Charith Aslanka. The second and final ODI match of the two-match ODI series between the two teams will be played in Colombo on February 14.
